The 3six12 is back for its third edition in 2026. Hosted in the fantastic Newnham Park, Plymouth, on the weekend of the 24th-26th July.

By popular demand, we have revamped our categories, so please have a look below. There is also the new addition of the Torchburner, a 12 hour solo race starting at 2200 on the Saturday night.

If you want the ideal mix of supporting your friends, enjoying the event village and racing, why not try the Split 6? Made up of two three hour races (with results combined), starting at 1000 on the Saturday, then restarting at 0700 on the Sunday.

We expect both the 24 and split 6 to be very popular, so don't hang around to get your entry in. 

Venue and Course

Newnham Park, Plympton, PL75BN

The venue carries it's own rich history of xc racing including some world cup races in the 90's and more recently National and regional xc races, it is full of mtb niceness and features and if you haven't been to Newnham before we are in no doubt that you will love it, from singletrack descents to open woodland tracks and a variety of features it really is a pleasure to ride.

Solo Categories and Age Restrictions (Please note for categories, it will be age at the end of the year as per normal XC races)

Short track and kids races

Podiums will be under 8s, under 10s and under 12s female and open.

Short track will be overall top three female and open, unless we have a massive amount of entries in which case we will add in categories.

Solo 12 and 24 hour, solo 6 hour, solo 3 hour, Torchburner and Split 6 competitors

17 and below, female and open (3 and 6 hour events only)

18-39 female and open

40-49 female and open

50+ female and open

Minimum age for solo 3 hours is 13 years and 6 hours is 13 years. 12 and 24 hours minimum 18 years. Minimum age for split 6 is 13 years.

Pairs and teams 12 and 24 hour

39 and under - all male (open), all female and mixed, by popular demand!

40 plus - all male (open), all female and mixed, by popular demand!

Minimum age of a team / pair member is 16 years.

Age will be set by the youngest member of the team / pair.

Camping and facilities

Already confirmed for the event are the ever popular Devon Coffee Hub and Artisan Pizza.

There will be loads of trackside camping available,e but this is strictly on a "first come, first served" basis, so if you require trackside, it is advisable to arrive Friday afternoon.

Showers and toilets will be provided on site, as well as drinking water.

*Please note that non-competitors who wish to camp on an additional pitch to a competitor are welcome but must pay for their pitch.
